Well. . . I've been begging a while for Adobe PS, and finally, my mom is agreeing to buy it for me. . . For Christmas.
She won't invest in one of those ones that cost hundreds of dollars, *whines* so I need to get prices on -good- programs that run less that $100.
Suggestions?

Download the GIMP. It's a real pain, but it can be tricked into doing something worthwhile. Plus, it's free.
Also, Paint.NET is one of my favorites. I used it for this skin. It's also free, and a bit easier to work with than that GIMP. It is a bit...lacking, though.
That's just me.

I have photoshop, got it for xmas.
My mom got it from Costco.com and I think its Adobe Elements 5.0, but it also comes with Adobe Movie 3.0. It was about $70, and it's great. I made my avvie pics with adobe elements and jasc (animation program).
