A sooty gray tom sat on top of a rock, his bushy tail curled around his wolf-like paws. His eyes scanned the clearing. It was filled with cats; some glossy, some lean, some muscular, some bunchy, and some fat. These were all the Clans. All combined and peaceful. He glanced to his left, and saw many houses. They were torn down and abandoned, because the twolegs had been gone for many moons. He had driven them out with his expanded Clan almost 13 Moons ago. He was the leader of all these cats, with Hailstorm, his faithful deputy, at his side. The twolegplace was theirs, and theirs alone. Nothing was there except other cats that didn't join them, and that didn't go with the twolegs, but they were normally driven out if they were found. Wolfstar's Clan trived on a vast stretch of land, so far they barely could travel to the end and back in one day. His puffed out his chest, as he saw one of the patrols, consisting of around 5-6 cats instead of the normal 3-4. And the gigantic pile of fresh-kill in the center. It was paradise.
Wolfstar was laying down, his head on his paws. He wasn't asleep, but he was close to it. That paradise was just a... vision. He was only imagining what he wanted. His eyes flew open at the thought of fail. He only stood up and stretched luxuriously, and with a yawn padded outside.

Oakpelt was padding into the camp, the smell of freshly picked herbs strong in her nose as she looked at the cats of her Clan busily going about their own business. Every cat has a job, most of those jobs are to fight and protect the rest of us, but mine is to heal those who have been injured fighting to protect me and everyone else. Why can't medicine cats fight as well? Thoughts like these were not uncommon to the skinny, beautiful she-cat, but she tried to hide these thoughts as best she could. She was a medicine cat and had chosen this destiny, the closest path to the stars, rather then the harsh, painful life as a warrior, but she sometimes felt that pain when a cat died in her watch and she couldn't handle it, not one bit, but still, she did what she had to to help her Clan survive, her job was important, no matter what crossed threw her mind, without her, the Clan wouldn't last long on its own.
She sighed and looked around until her eyes rested upon her leader, Wolfstar. She flicked her tail in greeting to the tom and padded quickly to her den to get rid of the herbs clenched in her jaws. When she put each of them in their correct spots, keeping all the herbs organized she padded out of the den again and up to Wolfstar. She nodded politley and mewed, "Hello there, Wolfstar. How are you today?" As she sat there, her beautiful oak brown pelt glowing along with her beautiful leaf green eyes, she remembered that only one thing took herself from being totally beautiful, and that was the long scar the showed over her left eye which would always remind her of her father, Sprucepelt.

Wolfstar sat outside his den, breathing in the fresh-air. His tail was curled neatly around his huge paws, flicking with though as he stared blankly across the clearing. His fur ruffled slightly in the breeze, making him look like an old, wise leader with scars from many battles. But he was not old, nor was he as wise as he acted. Wise, being smart enough to notice that taking over the whole forest was not the right way to live. It wasn't the will of StarClan, and no one but himself and most of his Clan agreed with him. His eyes still had not blinked, and they were beginning to water, which happened often when you stared to long without blinking. (It happens to me..) His ears pricked, as if he were listening to something no one else could hear. You could see a slightly.. evil-looking smile on his face, although it was hard to notice.
All of a sudden he heard something. "Hello there Wolfstar. How are you today?" He finally blinked, the fake-looking tears disappearing. He glanced at the speaker, noticing it was his medicine cat, Oakpelt. He nodded his head in greeting. "Greetings Oakpelt. I'm feeling fine today, although my stomach hurts slightly." He replied, flattening the ruffled fur on his chest. He lifted his wolf-sized paw, giving it a lick before drawing it over his scarred ear. His tail had uncurled itself, moving from around his paws and into the air, where it was flicking sub-conciously. He blinked warmly at his medicine cat. Despite his ambitiousness, he loved his Clan almost more than anything, and cherished every one of his cats, from the smallest kit, to the oldest elder.

The beautiful, but scarred she-cat nodded to his words and mewed, "I'll be right back." The she-cat walked back towards her den and disappeared into the opening, her brown oak colored tail being the last thing visible of her body. She looked at every herb on the shelf, trying to figure out which one was best for a belly ache when her eyes rested upon the chervil root. It was one of the herbs she had just picked today, so it should be fresh. She padded up to it and took one of them and turned around to the entrance of the den once again. She looked back before exiting, looking over her herbs once more, wondering whether or not she should go out for some more, but decided against it. If my Clan were to be attacked on my absence, I'd never forgive myself. With that, she exited her den and entered the clearing once more.
Her glossy brown pelt shined brightly in the sky and she had to keep reminding herself that she was not as beautiful as other she-cats in AshClan because of her one fault. She padded over to Wolfstar and dropped the chervil root by his paws. "Here is some chervil root, it should help ease your stomach aches." She looked around the Clan at all the cats and felt a glow of pride. I was chosen to protect these wonderful cats, and I shall without any regret. she thought.
