Welcome to a world where AMBITION rules...
Squirrelclaw had always been a loyal ThunderClan warrior. His former apprentice was a credit to the Clan. If Redfur ever died, he would be the obvious choice for deputy. Squirrelclaw was ambitious, but he never dreamed of killing Redfur to become the deputy. When Redfur was killed by a fox attack, every warrior but one thought that Squirrelclaw was going to be named deputy. The other warrior thought that they were going to be named deputy. Instead of Squirrelclaw or the other warrior, a white tom with black patches named Fallenstream became the deputy.
Outraged, Squirrelclaw plotted to kill him. The other warrior, who was also hoping to get rid of Fallenstream, spotted Squirrelclaw in the act of murdering the patched deputy. The other warrior told the ThunderClan leader. When given a chance to deny himself, Squirrelclaw did not, and admitted openly and honestly that he had killed a Clanmate. Squirrelclaw was exiled from ThunderClan promptly after this confession. Squirrelclaw soon came upon an old tom named Chestnut. Chestnut told him to put his past behind him; Squirrelclaw ignored that piece of advice and instead asked for a name. Chestnut said that Jet was a fitting name.
After killing the interrupting Chestnut, Jet prowled the Clans' lands, hunting in the forests of ThunderClan when he could. A strange combination of fury and sorrow filled him whenever he was on ThunderClan territory. He hated them for exiling him...but sooner or later, he could've become the deputy without killing Fallenstream. Fury overpowered sorrow in the end. Jet renamed himself Jetmask, as one last tribute to his former friends and apprentice. Jetmask sought out Ravenstar, the calm but aggressive ShadowClan leader. The feral cat convinced Ravenstar to help destroy ThunderClan, but Jetmask intended to do away with ShadowClan as soon as the job was done, using his pack of feral cats.
Murder and Ku were littermates and sisters. They ran a group of feral cats together. They had a younger sister, Malignar, but they didn't let her be in charge. Murder and Ku had agreed to Jetmask's demands. They would help rid the forest of the Clans' impure and evil blood, and Jetmask would join their gang and give the gang the whole forest in return. Jetmask, for once, actually meant his promise. The ambitious feral cat went to RiverClan next. The leader almost agreed to help Jetmask and ShadowClan get rid of ThunderClan, but Clawslash, the medicine cat, saw what Jetmask was getting at and told the leader. The RiverClan leader politely declined the offer, but they did not tell Ravenstar or ThunderClan of Jetmask's real plans.
Jetmask then ambushed a WindClan warrior and demanded to talk to the WindClan leader. Scared of the feral cat's wrath, the warrior let him into camp. Jetmask talked with the WindClan leader and the WindClan leader eagerly accepted his offer. Meanwhile, Fallenstream's mate, Berrystorm, had kits, named Owlkit and Foxkit, and Ravenstar's maternal half-brother fell in love with Malignar, the younger sister of Murder and Ku. Malignar also had kits, named Ashkit and Robinkit instead of Ash and Robin in an attempt to lead the warrior to believe that the feral band was made of friendly cats.
Now Jetmask, Ravenstar, the WindClan leader, Murder, and Ku are on the warpath. Will you join the vengeful attackers, the quiet bystanders, or the unsuspecting victims?
